Parents of students in grades 3-5: Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16, begins the state testing cycle for grades 3-5. Parts I and II of the English/Language Arts assessment will be tomorrow and Wednesday. Parts I and II of the Math assessment will be Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24. Parts I and II of the 5th grade science assessment will be Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1.
We ask for your help to make sure our students will be at their best when testing. Please do your best to ensure students get a good night's sleep the night before testing. It is also helpful for them to have a good breakfast the morning before testing. As always, breakfast is available here at school for those who need it. Also encourage students to do their best on the test. Test anxiety can be a problem for some students so overemphasizing the importance of the test may not be helpful for those with that issue. Encouraging their best quality work is more helpful for those students.
We appreciate your help. We also appreciate the opportunity to educate your children.

Due to unforeseen personnel concerns in our transportation department, today, April 12th, 2024, students who normally ride Bus #12 in the afternoon will be dropped off early starting at 2:15pm. Bus #12 route services students who live on Carlier Street, U.S. 68 North, Morgan Road, Glady Road, and Hunt Road. We understand that this adjustment might impact your child's schedule, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
