Another successful night for the high school track and field team! They participated at the Western Brown invitational!

Our Rocket baseball team's comeback effort vs North Adams unable to get over the top dropping an 8-5 decision this evening. Our boys will be back in action Tuesday at Chillicothe's VA Memorial Field for a 7:30 pm first pitch vs Georgetown.

Rocket softball comes up short in extra innings, 11-8 to North Adams.

There will be an art club meeting this Wednesday, April 15th after school until 4:00pm to work on the America 250 Mural!

Parents of Students in Grades 3-5: Tomorrow will begin state testing for the elementary school. We will be administering the English/Language Arts test tomorrow and Wednesday of this week. In order for students to do their best during testing please make sure they get a good night's sleep. Also encourage them to take their time and do their very best. All students will be provided breakfast on all test days. Many hours have gone into preparation. We are confident that students are prepared and will perform very well. Good luck to our track and field teams making the short trip to Western Brown for their annual invitational meet opening at 4 PM field events today. Admission: Adults $8.00; students $5.00; cash and credit cards accepted at gate and concessions.

Good baseball played on Rocket Field yesterday vs Goshen. Our varsity comeback fell short, 4-3; but our JV came from behind for a 7-6 victory in an extra inning. Back in SHAC action for both baseball and softball vs North Adams Monday with first pitches scheduled for 5 PM.

It is a beautiful day for Rocket varsity and JV baseball today. Come on out, enjoy the weather, and rooting for our guys vs Goshen.

The Rocket JH Track and Field team competed in the North Adams meet yesterday and did great! Lots of PR's! Top 5 in their event: Kylie Singleton: 5th in 100m Dash and 200m dash Ethan Blust: 1st in 800m run and 1600m run Jordyn Bacon: 4th in 800m run Ava Strong: 3rd in 100m Hurdles, and Long Jump, 4th in 200m Hurdles. Girls 4x100 relay placed 4th Jack Lockhart: 4th in Shot Put, Siera Carpenter: 5th in Shot Put, 4th in girls Discus Colby Williams competed in seated shot put with a throw of 14’ which has him ranked in the state now for this event! Congrats team! We will be back in action Monday at Western Brown with the HS team!

Rockets baseball fall to Peebles this evening, 12-5. Our boys are back in action at home tomorrow morning with an 11 AM varsity game vs Goshen followed by a JV game.

Another close one with our Rocket varsity softball team, who forged an impressive comeback before falling 7-6 to Peebles.

Student Council hosted a powerful Distracted/Impaired Driving Mock Crash Drill to help raise awareness and ultimately save lives. We are incredibly grateful to the many agencies who came together to make this impactful experience possible, including the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Brown County 911 Center, University Air Care Medical Transport, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Brown County Coroner’s Office, Fayetteville Fire Department and EMS, School Resource Officer Jason Noonan, Zach’s Towing and Recovery, and others. The drill featured a live demonstration in the parking lot, followed by meaningful guest speakers who reinforced the real-life consequences of distracted and impaired driving. This was more than just an event—it was a reminder to make safe choices behind the wheel. Thank you to everyone who helped educate and protect our students and community.

I want to thank Mr. Aric Fiscus for his dedication and service to public education, as well as his leadership as Fayetteville-Perry Elementary Principal over the past seven years. We wish him nothing but happiness and fulfillment in his retirement.

Fairfield defeats our Rockets, 10-2, in SHAC baseball action today. We are back in action tomorrow with another home game vs Peebles.
