Rockets boysโ and girlsโ bowling teams were back on the lanes tonight in a S.H.A.C. showdown against the undefeated White Oak Wildcats!
The Rocket Boys came ready to make noise, rolling 1,843 in team games and 524 in bakers for a 2372 totalโa new school record for a 2-game/3-baker series!
They didnโt stop there. The boys opened match play with a massive 1,004, securing another school record for the highest single match game in program history.
Leading the charge:
Dillon Wagner โ 225, 206 for a 431 series
Jamahl Kuebler โ 201, 177 for a 378 series
Jaxon Rash โ 211 game
Grant Short โ 189 game
Gavin Dennis โ 178 game
With tonightโs strong showing, the Rocket Boys improve to 3โ1 in S.H.A.C. play.
On the girlsโ side, our Lady Rockets showed heart and grit all night long. They battled the Wildcats closely, trailing by just 29 pins after Game 1. Despite dropping Game 2, they rallied to win 2 out of 3 baker games, but unfortunately it wasnโt quite enough to secure the overall win.
Leading the Lady Rockets:
Junior Jayden Adkins โ 177 game
Senior Jaelyn Barber โ 169 game
Both teams fought hard, represented Fayetteville with pride, and continue to build momentum for the season.
Great job, Rockets! ๐๐ณ

๐ Big Win Tonight!
Proud of our girls for bringing home a huge victory over Whiteoak! Their hustle, teamwork, and heart were on full display from tip-off to the final buzzer.
Way to fight, ladies! ๐ฅ๐

End of third quarter update, 60-20 Lady Rockets.

Score heading into the half has the Rockets on top, 41-15.

A great opening quarter for our Lady Rockets vs Whiteoak tonight!

Tough loss for the 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team tonight. They fought back from a double digit half time deficit to take it to overtime, but came up short. Final score West Union 35- Fayetteville 31. Keep working boys.

Good luck to our 7th grade boys basketball team playing a home game at 5:30 PM tonight vs West Union.

Low numbers at Whiteoak dictate no JV game will be played tonight. We will have a Teacher Recognition event at 6:30 PM, followed by normal team warmup period. Tipoff approximately 7 PM. This is a big SHAC matchup for the top spot in the girls standings! Go Rockets! Come on out!

The 7th grade basketball games, both boys and girls, scheduled at Peebles for tonight have been canceled per their request. We will be attempting to find 7th grade opponents to fill their vacancy for a home game in January.

Boys Varsity comes out on top!
Our varsity squad picked up a strong win over Lynchburg tonight. Great teamwork and grit from start to finish!
Our JV team battled hard in a close matchup, falling just short but showed tremendous effort and potential. ๐๐
