Heavy rain and questionable forecast have resulted in postponement of today's scheduled soccer match with Lynchburg-Clay and Senior Night recognition. Thursday Sept. 24 is our new date for these events; girls at 5 PM, Senior Night recognition, then the boys match 7 PM.

Senior Night for soccer is tomorrow vs Lynchburg. Girls match at 5 PM; Sr / Parent Recognition following that match. Boys vs LC under the lights to conclude the evening.

Great news from the SHAC Girls Golf Tournament concluding today. Lady Rocket Clarissa DeWitt earned All-SHAC recognition with a 12th place finish in our opening season of golf at FP! Congratulations to Clarissa, Rocket coach Justin Brown, and her family supporting her interest!

Two third quarter touchdowns by Josiph Adams, one a long catch and run, the other a pick 6, and another long TD run by Padilla for a 28-0 lead heading to the 4th.

Our first year boys golf team's improvement came to light yesterday in the SHAC tournament at Buckeye Hills. Our team shot a season best 198 on the tough course. Coltin Hundley led our Rockets with season best 45, Toby Brown followed with 46, and Eli Smith 51. Sectional ahead!

In the second match Thursday evening, our Junior High Lady Rockets played a highly competitive match before dropping a two point decision in the third and final set to L-Clay. Excellent middle school match.

FHS Forensic Science class is learning how to investigate crimes with unbiased opinions. We already processed a crime scene and now learning about fingerprinting. Watch out criminals!

FHS Volleyball traveled to CNE tonight for the “Battle of the Rockets!” 🏐 JV Lady Rockets brought home the WIN in 2 sets! 🏐 Varsity Lady Rockets battled all night, splitting the first four sets and forcing a deciding 5th set. They fought hard until the end but came up just short in a competitive match. The Lady Rockets have another challenging week ahead: 📍 Tuesday: Away vs. North Adams 📍 Thursday: HOME vs. Eastern

Multiple players contributed to a strong team effort as the Lady Rockets earned the victory in three straight sets!
