Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team for their win over Reading this evening. It was a hard fought contest, but the Rockets pulled away in the second half and won by 10. Final score 56-46. Way to go Rockets. Varsity up next.







While keeping a close game throughout, the 7th grade boys fell short tonight against Lynchburg-Clay.





Tough game for the Freshmen Boys Basketball team tonight. Reading got up and we could not find a way to stay with them. Final score 34-26. JV boys getting ready to start.






Congratulations to Mrs. Sarah Williams, FPLS Health & PE teacher, on passing her Resident Educator Summative Assessment. RESA allows new teachers to demonstrate their ability to reflect on their instructional practice and make necessary changes to continue to grow and improve. Once teachers pass RESA, they are qualified to apply for their Professional Teaching License.


Our young men's basketball program hits the road tonight: Varsity, JV and Freshman are at Reading HS for a triple header. We are thankful to Reading pushing start time back to 5:00 PM with travel concerns. Our JH boys makeup date at L-C has a 530 tipoff for 7th; 8th to follow.


Rocket bowlers were back in action yesterday. Our girls lost a close match to Whiteoak but Jaelynn Barber and Ava West led the charge with 181 and 173. The boys got off to a fast start and secured a big win. Gavyn Dennis led us with a 233, Dillinger Wagner 226-236. Great work.

Athletic Events today: Girls JV plays a 2 quarter home game vs Manchester (6 PM) followed by our undefeated varsity (approximately 6:45). Make plans to support our girls getting back into the SHAC race. Our JH 7-8 boys travel to Manchester for games beginning at 5:30.
