FPES Parents: Parent-Teacher Conferences at the elementary have been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, February 24, from 4-8. Reminder that all conferences will be held virtually via either video chat or phone call. If you have previously made an appointment it will stay at that same time. Today, the Fayetteville FFA held their first day of their National FFA Week Celebration! For spirit day, many students dressed up in their red, white, and blue. This evening, the Fayetteville FFA were able to celebrate the accomplishment of the first year FFA members earning the Greenhand FFA Degree! They held a Greenhand Ceremony in the high school gym and live-streamed the activity. 35 members were recognized for earning the Greenhand FFA Degree, and Kadie Short presented the FFA Creed! Thank you to all who were able to attend and the officers for planning and preparing for the event.
Remember, tomorrow is Tractor Tuesday! Wear the color of your favorite tractor or tractor equipment shirt.

February 20th - 27th is National FFA Week! To celebrate, the Fayetteville FFA Chapter will have a number of activities to participate in during the school week. First, are the dress up/spirit days seen below! They will be holding their 8th grade recruitment , making first aid kits to be donated to farmers in the area, FFA Emblem Hunt, and more! Join us in the celebration of one of the nation’s largest, youth organizations!

Congratulations to Kadie and Kennedy Short on competing in the Sub-district FFA Public Speaking Contest tonight virtually!
Kadie competed in the FFA Creed contest, where an FFA member memorizes and presents the FFA Creed written by E.M. Tiffany, and is asked questions afterwards. Kennedy competed in the Extemporaneous Speaking contest, where a member chooses a random topic, and has 30 minutes to prepare a 4-6 minute speech, present it, then is asked questions.
Kennedy placed 3rd in the Extemporaneous contest and Kadie placed 3rd in the FFA Creed contest! Kadie will advance and compete in the District contest on Tuesday! Congratulations to you two on all your hard work and dedication! Nice job!
