Elementary Parents: Conferences are tomorrow from 4-8. If you have already scheduled a conference, and cannot attend in person, you can call the elementary office at your scheduled time and have a phone conference. If you have not scheduled, and would like to, you can also call the office. The number is 875-2083.
**Rockets Bounce Back in a Big Way!**
After a tough stretch, our Boys Varsity and JV Basketball teams came out strong and dominated against West Union! Huge wins for both squads-let’s keep the momentum going!
PTO Update: Bookfair/Bring a Friend to Breakfast for the remainder of this week has been cancelled. We will reschedule and advise of new dates. This includes Weds. 2/5- Pre-K , Thurs. 2/6- 4th Grade, and Fri. 2/7- Kinder. Again, this is for the bring a friend to breakfast and bookfair for the remainder of this week.
If you or a member of your family went to Fayetteville High School in the 1970's we're giving away your yearbooks for FREE. We have multiple available. Contact the high school secretary or Mrs. Jennifer Gilpin. More yearbooks will be sold at the next girls and boys basketball home game for a donation of $5 for years 1980-2020 and $10 for books from 2021-2024.
Monday was a great day for Rocket 🎳! Girls led by Ava West 185 and Jaelyn Barber 187; boys Grant Short 200, Gavyn Dennis 236, and Dillon Wagner 204-2012 (finishing the year with 204.6 average) resulted in a victory over Leesburg Fairfield.

Due to widespread illness among students and staff, the elementary building will be closed on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. There will be no classes in session.

On Thursday January 30th, the Middle School held it 1st Semester Awards Assembly, to recognize the students for all of their hard work. Students recieved awards for Top Student, Most Improved, Rocket Award, Perfect attendance, Honoir and Merit Roll. Congratulationsa to everyone that received an award.
Update number two: Due to illness in the Ohio Valley Schools, West Union has cancelled tonight's junior high boys games.
Update number one: Girls junior varsity game at Williamsburg tonight will be a 2 quarter contest due to health issues in the Williamsburg program. Tip off will be at 6 PM; Varsity 🏀 starting time potentially in the 645-700 PM range.

"Making Memories" at the winter Homecoming Dance.
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team for winning the SHAC tournament finals today. The boys had a two point lead at half but feel behind in the second half. With less than a minute to go, the boys took the lead. Coupled with some clutch free throws, the Rockets pulled the upset and took the game 34 - 38. Way to go Rockets!!!
Tough loss for the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team in the finals of the SHAC tournament this morning. They played well, but came up short with a final score of 44-28. It does not take away from the great season they had. The girls placed 1st in the small school division and runner up in the tournament. Cannot wait to see what they will accomplish in high school.
🏀 **Hard-Fought Battle Against the Lions** 🏀 Our Varsity Boys gave it their all but fell short in a tough matchup against the Fairfield Lions. Keep your heads up, Rockets! The season is far from over, and we know you’ll bounce back stronger. JV pulled out the win in a battle to then last minute.

Players on the 8th grade girls and boys Rocket basketball teams are traveling to Peebles tomorrow (Feb. 1st) for the SHAC Championship! We would like to "send off" the bus with family, friends and fans as the bus leaves. If you are able, please come to parking lot and help us cheer our teams on. Congratulations to our freshman, basketball team, moving their record to eight wins and only two losses after traveling to Western Latham Thursday evening for a dominant win! They will participate in a post season tournament at Western Brown, February 3 through the 10th.
