Congratulations to the December Student of the Month recipients. Student are nominated by their teacher and then selected by the entire staff. Students received a certificate, a Frisch's extra effort award, and will participate in "Coney's with a Cop" in the coming weeks. Recipients are:
6th grade: Kenna Stratton and Israel Viruet, 7th grade: Chloe Cox and Drew Williams, 8th grade: Bailey Cummings and Ethan Humphries. Congratulations to all for your hard work.

Last night, our Senior bowlers competed in their last regular season match. They've worked hard to get where they are now! On to the sectionals!



Today, Fayetteville FFA members competed in two Career Development Events. Gracie Grant and Landon Huber competed in the Ag. Power Diagnostics contest at Ag. Pro in Wilmington this morning. They are to diagnose two issues with various pieces of equipment. They placed 10th in the district. Nice job! Then, Michael Boler and Gracie Grant competed in the sub-district public speaking contest in Georgetown tonight by reciting the FFA Creed. Gracie placed 4th and Michael placed 5th! Gracie is advancing to the District contest next week. Awesome job everyone!

High school basketball tournaments are almost here! Both teams will start their tournament run on Tuesday, 2/14.
Boys will play at 6pm at Princeton High School. Girls will play at 7:30pm at Monroe High School. Tickets can only be purchased online and will be available on Friday.

Varsity boys end the night with a win, 57-45! They will resume play on Friday at Williamsburg.




On the road at Batavia tonight as the Rockets take on the bulldogs. JV loses a close one, 33-34. Varsity will tip-off in 20 minutes.

Congratulations to the 7th grade Boys Basketball Team for their win over Peebles this afternoon. The 7th grade finished 1st in the league and took 1st place in the SHAC tournament. Awesome job boys.





Congratulations to the 8th grade Girls Basketball Team for capping off an undefeated season with a SHAC tournament championship, winning 51-21. The 8th grade girls are undefeated in league play for the last two years. Awesome job girls.





Congratulations to the 7th grade Girls Basketball team for their win over Lynchburg this morning. The 7th grade Girls were undefeated in the league and won the SHAC tournament with a 27-26 victory. Way to go Rockets!





Congratulations to the varsity Rockets for their solid performance and commanding victory over the Ripley Blue Jays. Final score 59 to 33. As alwaysโฆ.Go Rockets!




The second game was a close game with good effort by the Rocket JV but came up short 43 to 41.




The Rockets are playing the Blue Jays in Ripley tonight. The freshman start with a nice win 39 to 10. Good job Rockets!
