FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Welcome to the 2012-2013 upcoming school year! The summer break has gone quickly and another school year is about to begin. Several of our staff have been working diligently during the months of June and July to prepare for another successful school year and we are looking with anticipation in getting back to the school year routine.
We have received preliminary results from the OGT and OAA and are pleased to announce that we did very well again this past school year. We would like to congratulate students, parents, and staff for all their hard work in making this happen. We are looking forward to the final results that will be published later in the year.
Our fall sports teams are beginning. Coaches and student-athletes are beginning their conditioning for another successful year in Fayetteville athletics. Our coaches and student athletes have been working throughout the summer in preparing for their individual sports. We also have had FCCLA members attend the national leadership conference in Orlando, Florida, band members attended band camp at Long’s Retreat, and cheerleaders will have cheer camp at FPLS. As you can see, there has been a great deal going on in the District during the summer months.
Our maintenance and custodial staff have been working hard to prepare the buildings and grounds for next year and will be ready for everyone in August. We have a new seal coat on all of our parking lots and the buildings and grounds look great.
We have many things to be thankful and proud of concerning our district. The staff at FHS and FMS is proud to be a part of this district and all of its many accomplishments. I look forward to seeing all students returning on August 22, 2012. The many goals are set high and the challenge is before us and I believe that we are capable of achieving them all.
